Shri Vithal Education and Research Institute (SVERI) is a charitable trust founded in Pandharpur (known as 'South Kashi' of India) by a group of technocrats. Today, around 5000 students are studying in this campus and around 1700 girls and 1600 boys are living in separate hostels. The institute is moving ahead on the path of success with Excellent Academic Results, Excellent Placements, Excellent R&D, Excellent Infrastructure and Excellent Accreditations. After the establishment of the institution, various colleges have been started by this trust.

Since the inception of SVERI's College of Engineering in 1998, SVERI has been working for the betterment of society with focus on the rural population. The Rural Human Resource Development Facility (RHRDF) and National Knowledge Network Application Centre have been established at SVERI through MoU with Bhabha Atomic Research Center, Mumbai for deployment of the technologies of BARC in rural areas. Rajiv Gandhi Science & Technology Commission, Government of Maharashtra has funded these projects to the tune of around Rs.4.55 Crore. Up to now, CSR grant of Rs.3.64 Cr. has been sanctioned by NPCIL, Tarapur for empowering villagers in Tarapur (Mumbai) region through propagation of BARC technologies. In addition, the proposal for Rs. 5 Cr. has been approved by NITI Aayog for establishment of Atal Community Innovation Center (ACIC). Recently, RGSTC has sanctioned a research fund of Rs. 33.73 Cr. for the collaborative project to IIT Mumbai, VJTI, Mumbai and SVERI, Pandharpur on Drone Technology. SVERI's College of Engineering, Pandharpur has recently been conferred Autonomous Status from A. Y. 2024-2025 by University Grants Commission (UGC) and P. A. H. Solapur University, Solapur.
